Your daughter will be interviewed prior to taking the entrance examination and will be expected to discuss her interests and experiences. The 11+ entrance examination is set in November of the year preceding entry.
The school offers Academic scholarships to girls who demonstrate exceptional abilities and potential. These don’t require additional assessment since they are awarded on the basis of entrance examination results, the candidate’s conduct in the interview and the quality of the school reference report. The best performing candidates will be short-listed for a scholarship interview with the school’s Head.
Blackheath also awards Art, Music and Sport scholarships to gifted girls applying for Year 7 entry. A partial bursary may be granted if your daughter wins a subject scholarship, with the combined value never exceeding the full fees.
Bursaries are means-tested and their value is dependent upon your income and financial resources. To be considered for a bursary, you should indicate your interest in your application form. The Admissions Team will reach out with further details.
