Holme Grange is an independent co-educational day school in rural Wokingham, Berkshire. Founded in 1945, the school occupies a beautiful Grade II Listed building, built in 1883 by Norman Shaw.
The Senior School (known as Eaton Grange) curriculum falls into the following categories: English, Maths, Science, Computing & ICT, Languages, Humanities, The Arts and Sport.

Eaton Grange School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
Admission to Eaton Grange in Year 7 is subject to entrance examinations, an interview (with the Headteacher) and a current school report. The admissions day is held in the January preceding entry.
The school awards Academic, Sport, Art, Drama and All-Rounder Scholarships on the grounds of outstanding performance in competitive examinations and assessments. Their value ranges from 5%-25% of the tuition fees. Scholars are expected to make a significant contribution to the school.
Means-tested bursaries can be awarded to supplement a Scholarship.
If you wish to apply for a scholarship at 11+, you should complete an application form. The form should be submitted along with a hand written application letter from your child, explaining, in under 200 words, why they feel they should be considered for an award and what they will do to contribute to the life of the school. The Scholarships Application form should be submitted at the same time as the Registration form. The Registration Fee is £200.
The school offers bursaries to children who come from low-income families. These are awarded following an assessment of your child’s ability. You can apply for these awards at any time during the year preceding entry.
Bursary places are awarded on the basis of financial need, and typically cover a part of the fees. Priority may be given to children from the local community.

Eaton Grange School 11 Plus (11+) Exam Format
The Eaton Grange School 11+ entrance examination consists of:
- Online test – CEM Select
- English – Writing task
The online test, CEM Select, examines your child’s skills in Verbal Reasoning (English), Non-Verbal Reasoning and Numerical Reasoning (maths).
The English paper examines writing skills, including spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
