City of London School and City of London School for Girls will be opening a new Junior School in 2022. Both boys and girls can apply for Year 3 entry. In 2025, the school is expected to become fully co-educational.
Its facilities will occupy the former City School of Law building, based in the heart of Gray’s Inn, at a walking distance of both senior schools. The idea is to provide pupils with a safe and secure learning environment, complemented by modern and spacious classrooms and suites. Specialist teaching will be provided in the areas of PE, art, science, drama, DT and music, and children will have the opportunity to use the Senior School sports facilities, including two swimming pools.
The school’s ethos will be rooted in its efforts to promote kindness and compassion, and enable children to develop skills, experiences and friendships in conjunction with excellent academic results. The community will be as diverse as possible, widely accessible to pupils from various cultural backgrounds and different financial circumstances.
