Introduction
Hulme Hall Grammar School is a co-educational school in Stockport, Greater Manchester. Founded in 1928, it educates pupils of different ages through the Pre-School, the Junior Learning Centre (JLC) and the Senior School. [1]
In JLC, the flexible curriculum offers a plethora of subject areas which aim to meet individual interests. These range from English, maths, science and art to computing, DT, humanities and PE. Small class sizes ensure personalised teaching, engaging each child in productive learning and allowing them to develop at their own rate.
The tailor-made educational provision comes in conjunction with a varied after-school club programme, which comprises fitness & circuit training, basketball, board games and films. Furthermore, pupils benefit from excellent support from the Pastoral Team, who ensure that children access their Senior Years as happy and confident individuals.
The school’s motto is ‘Seek Truth’, hence its ethos encourages pupils to celebrate their own achievements and those of their peers, while simultaneously exploring their capacity for honesty, tolerance and courtesy. [2]
