Introduction
Rye St Antony School is an independent boarding and day school for girls in Headington, Oxford. This Catholic school is considered unique because it was founded by two women rather than by a religious order. Rye was rated ‘Outstanding’ in all aspects in their recent ISI inspection.
Girls study English, mathematics, science, RS, MFL, physical education, PSHEE, art, computer science, drama, food preparation & nutrition, geography, history and music. The offer of after-class clubs and activities constantly evolves, ranging from Music Theory Club, Science Club and Hockey Club, to Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Choir and LAMDA.
Characterised by small class sizes and a family atmosphere, the school fosters a sense of belonging among girls. They learn about respect, tolerance and integrity while thriving both academically and socially within the Rye community, and hence grow into assured and confident young women, fully prepared to take on the world.
