Introduction
Basic information: Warwick School is an independent day and boarding school for boys in Warwick. Among the oldest surviving schools in England, it has educated a number of notable personalities in the areas of politics, science, business and literature. [1]

Junior School Open Mornings are held in Autumn and Spring, allowing families to familiarise themselves with everything on offer, from facilities to extracurriculars. Warwick Junior School 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
8+ is not the school’s standard point of entry. If there are places available in this year group, you should register your child using an online form and pay the registration fee of £75. Other payments include a deposit (£500), payable on acceptance of an offer of a place.
External candidates for entry are assessed through a formal 8+ exam. There may also be an interview with a senior staff member.
Warwick Junior School 8 Plus (8+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Bursaries are not available. However, your child can apply for a Choral Scholarship, valued at £1,800 per annum. This award is used as a partial remission of school fees and should be applied for through a separate application form, which can be found here.

The Warwick Junior School 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English writing
- English comprehension (online)
- Mathematics (online)
The English writing exam (essay) measures writing skills, including punctuation and spelling. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The English comprehension exam is taken online and assesses punctuation, grammar and spelling skills.
The Maths online exam assesses problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including your child’s knowledge of times tables.
