Queen’s Gate School 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
As 8+ is not the school’s standard point of entry, you will have to reach out to the Registrar prior to applying for a place. If Queen’s Gate confirms the availability of places, you will be asked to complete and submit a registration form together with a payment of a non-refundable £150 fee.
Following this step of the admissions process, the school will reach out to schedule an assessment for your child. If she performs well, she will be offered a place in Year 4, to be secured with a payment of a deposit.
Queen’s Gate School 8 Plus (8+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are not available to 8+ applicants. However, it is possible to apply for a bursary.
In that case, the school will request that you submit a means-tested Bursary Application Form, along with supporting documentation as evidence of your income, savings and assets.
Please note that bursaries are reviewed annually and may vary in value. The maximum worth of a bursary is 100% of fees. If your financial circumstances change, there will be changes in the value of the bursary award, as well.

The Queen’s Gate School 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessment:

- English
The English exam examines comprehension and writing skills, including inference, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including your child’s knowledge of times tables.
