Woodbridge Prep hosts Open Day in September, allowing families to visit the site and thoroughly explore its offering. Woodbridge School Prep 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
8+ is not the school’s standard point of entry, hence you are advised to enquire about this following the visit. If places in the year group are available, you should proceed to register your child. The registration fee for day pupils is £50 and for boarders it is £100.
The school will then reach out to schedule a Taster Day for your child, during which they will be formally assessed using an online test and papers. The quality of their current-school reference will also be considered. If the outcome is positive, they may receive an offer, to be accepted with a payment of £500 (for day and weekly boarders) and £1000 (for full boarders).

The Woodbridge School Prep 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test)
- English writing
- Mathematics
The CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) assesses Verbal, Non-Verbal, Spatial and Quantitative Reasoning skills.
The English assessment examines writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar.
The Maths exam assesses problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including your child’s knowledge of times tables.
