Introduction
Rossall School is a co-educational, independent school located between Cleveleys and Fleetwood in Lancashire. Founded in 1844 with the aim of providing quality education to the sons of Clergymen (and others) at a moderate cost, the school occupies a magnificent 161-acre estate next to Rossall Beach. [1]
The curriculum covers English, maths, science, art, computing/DT, drama, food studies, geography, history, music, MFL, Latin, PHSE and PE. The wide range of co-curricular clubs further develops pupils’ abilities, allowing them to take part in climbing, art & photography, debating, yoga, zumba and a number of other activities.
Trips to foreign destinations are organised on a regular basis and have included destinations such as Malta, Switzerland, France, India (Himalayas) and Iceland.
Providing a pastorally nurturing, culturally diverse and intellectually stimulating environment, the school ensures that children are inspired to take full advantage of the first-class education on offer. As they develop their intellectual interests and curiosity, they mature into self-motivated and independent thinkers, receptive to new ideas and eager to explore and improve the world around them.
