Basic information: Dating back to 1384, Hereford Cathedral School is one of the oldest schools in England. It has a long and impressive alumni list (featuring authors, diplomats, composers and scientists) and is based near Hereford Cathedral in Hereford, catering for both day and boarding pupils.

Hereford Cathedral School 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
To proceed with the admissions process, you should schedule a Taster session for your child, which will allow them to spend two consecutive days at Hereford Cathedral and attend (informal) assessments. Please note that, subject to their results, they may be invited back to the school to sit further, formal examinations.
The registration form should be submitted with a payment of a £75 non-refundable fee, while the acceptance form should be accompanied by a payment of a £150 deposit.
