Personalised visits are also a way to see the school in action. They take place throughout the school year, allowing you to meet the Admissions Team and the Head or one of the Deputy Heads. Rendcomb College 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

The admission process includes registration and assessments. Registration adds your child to the school’s entry list and can take place at any time throughout the year. The registration form should be submitted with a non-refundable fee of £100.

Your child will then be invited to sit entrance examinations, taking place in November (Stage 1 written exam) and January (Stage 2 online exam). A place will be offered to successful applicants, to be accepted with a payment of a £500 fee, which acts as a deposit and is refunded when your child leaves Rendcomb College.

Upon receipt of a signed Acceptance form, your child will be invited to join a Shadow Day, which provides them with the opportunity to become more accustomed to life at Rendcomb College. Attendance is, however, not mandatory.

Rendcomb College 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries

A number of Academic, Art, Music, Drama and Sport Scholarships are awarded each year at the Year 7 entry point. They are offered on the basis of your child’s potential and ability to enrich the life of the school. The Rendcomb Scholarship and the 100% Noel Wills Scholarship are awarded at the 11+ entry point, as well.

All awards are reassessed annually and take into account your child’s academic progress and behaviour. Though there is no limit to the number of Scholarships the school awards, Rendcomb will look for a certain level of excellence before offering one. For this reason, there are separate examinations your child needs to sit in order to be properly assessed and considered for an award.

Rendcomb offers bursaries, too. The purpose of bursaries is to widen access to the school for children whose parents would otherwise not be able to afford a Rendcomb education. All bursaries are means-tested.

If you wish to apply for a bursary, you must complete a Financial Circumstances Form which is available from the Admissions Office. In order for the school to assess the level of financial need, the form must be submitted 12 months in advance of the year of entry.
