Introduction
Radnor House Sevenoaks is an independent, co-educational day school in the Sevenoaks District of Kent. It became operational in 2016, when The Radnor House Group took over Combe Bank School and re-launched it under the current name.
In Year 7, pupils study English, maths, science, PSHEE, humanities, MFL, PE, computing, RS, drama and arts. Co-curricular activities include something for everyone, ranging from Athletics, Book Club, Chess Club and Debating, to Fun Maths Club, Hockey, LAMDA and STEM Club.
Preparing pupils for the digital age and ever-changing world beyond school is at the heart of the Radnor House Sevenoaks ethos. Radnor House Sevenoaks 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
To register your child for Year 7 entry, you should complete an online Registration Form.
The admissions process includes sitting an entrance test and an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership team. A reference from your child’s current school will also be requested.
The exam is set in November, consisting of an online test and a written paper. The interview lasts 10 minutes, during which your child will be asked to discuss their interests and hobbies.
The deadline for registrations is in mid-October of the year preceding entry. Offer letters are sent out in late November, and the deadline for acceptances is in early March.
Radnor House Sevenoaks 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
At 11+, the school offers Academic, Art, Drama, Music, Sport and All-Rounder Scholarships. These are typically valued at 10% of the annual tuition fees.
In exceptional circumstances, the reduction of fees may be increased through an Outstanding Scholarship which is awarded entirely at the Head’s discretion.
Means tested bursaries, worth up to 50% of fees, are only offered to holders of scholarships.
All Year 7 applicants sitting the entrance test will automatically be considered for an Academic Scholarship.
The All-Rounder Scholarship is awarded to children who can demonstrate a considerable commitment to the school’s values and excel in a range of disciplines at the same time.
Please note that your child may hold a maximum of one Scholarship award.

The Radnor House Sevenoaks 11+ exam consists of:
- Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4)
- English writing paper
The CAT4 test aims to assess developed abilities via modules testing Verbal, Non-Verbal, Spatial and Quantitative Reasoning.
The English paper examines writing skills, including spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
