Introduction

Notting Hill and Ealing High School is an independent day school for girls in Ealing, London. Member of the Girls’ Day School Trust, it was established in 1873 and has educated an impressive number of notable personalities, who have left their mark in the areas of academia, science, literature and architecture. [1

NHEHS boasts a strong academic tradition and delivers education accordingly, providing girls with firm grounding in the areas of technology, languages, mathematics and RS, among others. Benefitting from lively in-class teaching, students question and research established knowledge and concurrently obtain relevant qualifications across a range of disciplines.

Numerous enrichment activities add up to the wealth and purpose of the educational experience, catering for girls’ changing interests as a rule. Chess, debating, engineering and gardening are just a few to mention, complementing the varied mix of offerings that perpetuate skills acquisition. [2]

The warm and friendly learning environment is underpinned by extensive pastoral care, aimed at addressing pupils’ individual needs in close partnership with parents.
