Exeter Junior School 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
The closing date for 8+ registrations is in January of the calendar year of entry. The entrance assessments take place later the same month, assessing your child skills across two areas of the curriculum.

The Exeter Junior School 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessments:

- Mathematics
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills. In the writing (essay) section, marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
