Introduction

Westminster School is an independent school for boys in Westminster, London. Occupying the precincts of Westminster Abbey, it is regularly featured among the top-performing schools nationally. Westminster has produced three Nobel laureates and three UK prime ministers, boasting the highest national Oxbridge rate. [1]

The comprehensive programme of relevant subject options underpins the culture of success pervading the school’s community. Learning at Westminster typically extends well beyond the syllabus and includes thorough research and intellectual inquisitiveness, empowering boys as they approach the next stages of their educational journey.

To balance the often rigorous academic offering, the school provides a wide variety of extracurriculars, ranging from robotics and mythology to rugby and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Through the Options Programme, pupils get to study an optional language (such as Sanskrit or Arabic), while the Cultural Perspectives programme maximises their understanding of human experience across a plethora of social and cultural contexts. [2]

Westminster encourages open-mindedness and inspires informed decisions, securing students’ seamless progression into adulthood. Its ethos engages boys intellectually, morally and culturally, providing numerous opportunities for free and articulate expression, rooted in healthy scepticism and active efforts to perpetuate one’s individuality.

How to Prepare for the Westminster School 13 Plus (13+) Pretest Exam

At Exam Papers Plus, we recommend that students follow a structured approach towards preparation for the 13+ entrance exam. Such an approach includes practice tests, which consist of thoroughly researched and up-to-date questions that reflect a competitive examination format.

By covering all the key skills and the range of question types your child will encounter in the actual test, our practice tests will help them get used to answering questions quickly and effectively. More importantly, they will help identify any weaker areas that require additional work and attention. In this way, our practice tests will assist in boosting your child’s confidence.

Practice tests ensure that candidates find the preparation process easily manageable and less demanding, and help parents and tutors come up with a carefully thought-out revision plan for their child that focuses on studying ‘little and often’.

Every year, tens of thousands of students make use of our practice tests in order to gain an advantage over peers ahead of competitive and highly selective entrance exams. Our recommendations to help your child prepare for the Westminster School 13 plus entrance examination can be found below.
