The Grange School is an independent, co-educational school near Northwich, Cheshire. Founded in 1933 as a preparatory school, The Grange is a member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference. 
Delivering lessons in brand new purpose-built classrooms and facilities, the expert staff on board boosts pupils’ skills in the areas of literacy, numeracy, music, art, science, computing, design, languages, humanities and sports.

To be considered for the 7+ assessments, your child needs to be registered with the school first. The examinations take place at a mutually convenient date. Please note that, as part of the admissions process, The Grange will also request references and reports from your child’s current school.

The Grange School 7 Plus (7+) Exam Format
The Grange School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- Reasoning (Verbal and Non-Verbal)
The above areas are tested through standardised, computer-based assessments.
The English assessment examines comprehension including inference, punctuation and grammar.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam is designed to test and assess their logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning test measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
