The Grange School is an independent, co-educational school near Northwich, Cheshire. Founded in 1933 as a preparatory school, The Grange is a member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference.

To be considered for the 7+ assessments, your child needs to be registered with the school first. The examinations take place at a mutually convenient date. Please note that, as part of the admissions process, The Grange will also request references and reports from your child’s current school.

The Grange School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English (written paper)
- Online English, Maths and Reasoning test
The English assessment examines writing skills. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The online test is likely to resemble the CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test), which assesses Verbal, Non-Verbal, Spatial and Quantitative Reasoning skills.
