Introduction
The Grange School is a coeducational independent day school for children aged 4–18. It is located in the village of Hartford, close to Northwich in Cheshire.
By independent school standards, The Grange is a relatively new school. The prep school was founded in 1933 and it wasn’t until 1978 that the senior school opened. Since then there has been much investment in the senior school’s facilities, which now include state-of-the-art science laboratories and ICT suites and a 350-seat theatre.
The Grange School has a reputation for high academic performance and regularly appears in the top 100 independent school league tables based on exam results. In recent years, 72% of all GCSE grades were in the top A*–A (9–7) range.
The school’s challenging curriculum is made up of academic, enrichment and personal development strands. The enrichment programme offers over 90 different opportunities for pupils, from Model United Nations to Dungeons and Dragons Club.
