Introduction
St John’s School is an independent, co-educational school in Billericay, Essex. It was founded in 1928 by Walter Higby, an Oxford Scholar who named it after St John’s College in Oxford.
The Senior School curriculum covers art, craft & design, computer science, drama, English, food & nutrition, geography, history, mathematics & statistics, MFL, music, religious studies and science.
Pupils’ skills and abilities are further stretched through participation in the rich extra-curricular programme which includes badminton, orchestra, animations club, karate, lego club and athletics.
By valuing, respecting and nurturing each individual, the school produces happy pupils who pursue high academic standards through hard work and practise. Having their academic, sporting and artistic needs met, children actively prepare to play a full part in society and help resolve its complexities.
