Introduction

Haberdashers’ Boys’ School (also known as HABS Boys) is an independent day school in Elstree, Hertfordshire. It was founded in 1690 and has been a synonym for excellence ever since, educating an array of notable professionals in the areas of academia, politics and business. [1]

Inspiring and rewarding, the academic provision in Sixth Form allows students to explore their learning capacity and maximise its proportions so that it matches their ambition to excel. As they prepare for university, Haberdashers broadens their understanding in the areas of technology, science, humanities and languages, and thus builds on the school’s strong reputation to acquire personal success.

Many societies and clubs are on offer, ensuring that the educational experience is as comprehensive as it gets. In its totality, the co-curricular programme aims to enable students to form strong connections and learn about the benefits of teamwork, as well as engage in community-related activities that help develop their character. [2]

Encouraged to be curious about the world around them, HABS’ boys benefit from a learning environment grounded in enthusiasm and pastoral care rooted in trust. Every aspect of the school’s provision is holistic in its essence, addressing both the personal and academic development of the cohort without disregarding their fondness of youthful experiences in doing so.
