SHS provides girls with a rounded education, hence its curriculum is broad and balanced. Including a wide range of disciplines, such as art, English, computing, DT, drama, languages, humanities, mathematics, music, PE and science, the academic and non-academic provision ensures that girls are well-prepared for the next stages of their educational journey.
Extracurricular opportunities are at the heart of the school’s philosophy. SHS challenges students to try out as many activities as possible and thereby thoroughly explore their capacity for creative, physical and personal development. International trips and exchanges, primarily aimed at boosting their cultural awareness, are arranged on a regular basis, including exotic and enchanting destinations such as Dubai and Burma. Further invested in maximising each girl’s potential, Stroud High encourages their frequent participation in competitions and challenges.
Stroud High is a designated Eco-school and a holder of the Green Flag Award. As such, it strongly encourages environmentally conscious behaviour and actively promotes sustainability through its efforts to reduce water and energy usage.
