Repton Prep is an independent, co-ed Preparatory School in Foremark, Derbyshire. It was founded in 1940 amid the uncertainties existing in the country during World War II, which threatened the continuation of the Senior School.
The curriculum in Repton Prep maximises pupils’ abilities in a variety of disciplines, offering exhaustive preparation ahead of their Senior Years. Challenging and rich, it covers maths, English, science, French, geography, history, classics, ICT, DT, art, drama, PE, PSHCE, religious studies and music.
Further investing in boosting their skills and knowledge, the school offers an extensive enrichment programme, regularly updated with new features. A total of 28 activities are available in the Lower School, including fencing, swim squad, tennis, drama and book club.
Set in 50 acres of grounds and occupying beautiful eighteenth century Palladian style buildings, the school ensures that the educational experience and ethos fully match the appeal of its surroundings. Teaching children that with ‘privilege comes responsibility’, Repton Prep produces individuals who are confident, but not ignorant of the needs of people around them.
