Introduction
Basic information: New Hall School is an independent boarding and day school in the village of Boreham, Essex. Established in 1642, it follows the ‘diamond model’ of education and has produced a number of notable professionals in the areas of politics, arts, journalism and literature. [1]
Curriculum: New Hall’s Preparatory Division boasts a broad in-class provision in the effort to stimulate academic excellence. Children study English, mathematics, science and humanities, among other disciplines, without much effort excelling across the relevant and engaging topics on offer.
Co-curricular: Based in the heart of the educational provision, extracurriculars maximise pupils’ existing talents through an extensive range of opportunities. Orchestra, street dance, ballet, gymnastics and tennis are just a few to mention, allowing children to also discover new interests and forge firm friendships in the process. [2]
New Hall Farm: The school maintains a long tradition in farming and grazing animals, including pigs, cows, chickens and deer. The close proximity to the farm on campus enables children to interact with nature and make the most of the outdoors, acquiring improved mental and emotional wellbeing alongside strong environmental awareness. [3]
Caring in its essence, the learning environment supports pupils into becoming agile thinkers who are well prepared for the fast-paced life in the modern age. The community is vibrant and free of gender or any other stereotypes, accommodating varied talents and ambitions to the best of its abilities.
