Introduction
Frequently referred to as Becky High, Beaconsfield High School is an all-girls grammar school in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The admissions process at 12+ involves formal assessments. Registration for the tests is mandatory.
You will also be asked to provide your school preferences and indicate your eligibility for Pupil Premium and Free School Meals by the registration deadline in October of the year prior to entry. Any medical or social needs that may affect your daughter’s ranking should be disclosed, as well.
Invitations for the entrance exam are sent out in December. You will need to confirm your daughter’s attendance by a specified date.
The Late Transfer test, which assesses your daughter’s skills across three areas, is held in February and lasts approximately one hour. Results are communicated in March.

The Beaconsfield High School 12+ entrance examination consists of the following tests:

- Non-Verbal Reasoning (GL)
The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper will include multiple-choice questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The multiple-choice Verbal Reasoning paper is designed to test and assess logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The multiple-choice Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures the ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
