Basic information: The Old Palace of John Whitgift School is an independent day school for girls in Croydon, London. Founded in 1889, it was named after The Old Palace, a Grade I listed building based at the heart of the school’s campus. [1]

Open Events at Old Palace are held each term, commencing with an address from the Head during which you will learn more about the school’s ethos and philosophy. Tours of facilities and meetings with staff will also take place. Please follow this link to book a place.
Old Palace School 5 Plus (5+) Admissions
Following the visit to the school, you may wish to proceed with the admissions process and register your daughter for a place. The registration fee of £100 is non-refundable.
Once the school receives the form and payment, they will get in touch to schedule a 5+ assessment, during which your daughter’s skills (across three areas) will be tested. There may also be an interview.
The acceptance of a place is confirmed with a payment of a £400 deposit. Old Palace will refund this amount during your daughter’s last term at the school.

Scholarships and bursaries are not available to 5+ applicants.

The Old Palace School 5 Plus (5+) exam consists of the following assessments:
