Introduction
Abbot’s Hill School is an independent day school for girls (and boys at the ages 0–4) in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1912, the school is noted for facilitating pupils’ proficiency in management, organisation and leadership very early on. [1]
Small class sizes in the Prep School allow the experienced staff to individually address each student’s interests and setbacks. As a result, by the time they reach their Senior years, girls develop high levels of confidence and responsibility, without missing out on the many joys of teamwork and fellowship.
Within the scope of the extracurricular programme, girls learn different skills in the areas of music, sport, languages, drama, dance and gardening. Apropos the high standards it sets out for pupils, Abbot’s Hill offers a broad range of clubs and activities, including yoga, swimming, lacrosse, coding, chess, SciTech Club and drama.
The exceptional pastoral care provision complements the school’s reputation as one of the best destinations for academic and personal development. Enriching the nurturing atmosphere where pupils thrive, the pastoral staff works hard to ensure that each and every one of them grows in healthy competition and a sense of belonging to a warm and welcoming community.
