Introduction
Cokethorpe School is an independent school in West Oxfordshire, located around 2.5 miles south of Witney. Occupying a 150 acre site, the school is noted for its outstanding sporting tradition, with students playing national age group rugby and women’s hockey. [1]

Places are offered following successful performance in entrance examinations, taking place during Assessment Day (in January). Practical assessments and an interview will also take place.
You will be notified of your child’s outcome later in the same month. Acceptance of an offer includes a payment of a deposit.

The English exam tests comprehension and writing skills, including inference, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
