Introduction
Coopersale Hall is an independent, co-ed preparatory school in Epping, South-West Essex. It is part of the four schools in the Oak-Tree Group, located within a 6-mile radius on the South West Essex/North London borders. [1]
The Junior School curriculum is rich and varied, ensuring that pupils fully benefit from small class sizes and the individualised approach embedded in the learning programme. Lessons for the core subjects are complemented by specialist teaching for a range of subject areas, including MFL, PE, games, ICT, science, dance and music.

To soak up the atmosphere at this small but successful school, you are more than welcome to visit during Open Mornings. Coopersale Hall 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
If you wish your child to be considered for a place in Year 3, you should complete and submit this registration form and pay the £50 registration fee. The school will then reach out to schedule an assessment and interview at a mutually convenient date.
Besides performance in the exam and interview, the school will also look into your child’s current-school references and conduct, informally observed during assessment day.
If the school offers a place, you will be asked to secure it with a payment of a £500 deposit, refunded during your child’s time at the school.

The Coopersale Hall 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
The English exam tests comprehension and writing skills, including inference, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning section of the exam measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
