We’ve just released a new product:

 

11+ Verbal Reasoning: Related Words

 

This is a brand new GL Assessment question type for Verbal Reasoning. It’s highly unlikely your child will have come across it before and you won’t find it covered by any other publisher.

 

Over the last few years, GL have introduced a number of new 11+ Verbal Reasoning question types that do not feature at all in any of their official practice resources. These include Shuffled Sentences, Rhyming Synonyms and Anagrams.

 

Related Words came up recently for the first time. Since then, we’ve been researching it further and confirming the exact mechanics of how the question type works. Based on this research, we’ve now created this new pack to help your child prepare.

 

This question type requires students to have a strong vocabulary and be able to identify patterns and connections between words on a grid. The grid layout can cause confusion and requires focus and attention to detail. You can view a simple Related Words sample here.

 

Along with the other newer question types, Related Words is quite likely to feature in 11+ GL Verbal Reasoning tests this year.

 

For example, it came up in the GL-based Henrietta Barnett Stage 1 Exam last year.

 

As such, we think it’s a good idea to prepare accordingly.
