Introduction
The King’s School is an independent, co-ed day school in Gloucester. Founded in 1541 following the English Reformation, the school is noted as one of the seven ‘King’s Schools’ proclaimed by King Henry VIII. [1]
In the Junior School, pupils study subjects such as French, English, maths, history, geography, PE, dance, performing arts, music and ICT.

The Whole School Open Morning allows prospective families to visit the school and experience life on campus.
The event takes place in the second half of March, welcoming visitors who wish to meet staff and tour King’s top-class facilities. You can book your spot via this form.

The King’s Gloucester 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:

The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
