Introduction

St Edward’s School is an independent, co-educational school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Its site, Charlton Park, was a hunting lodge that belonged to Edward the Confessor, the sole English monarch to have been canonised.

Pupils study English, mathematics, RS,  sciences, Latin, classical civilisation, MFL, history, geography, drama, art, music, ICT, sports science, design technology and food technology.

After classes, they engage in a range of activities, including Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) and Combined Cadet Force (CCF), along with musical and creative clubs and numerous sporting opportunities.

Residential trips have included destinations such as France, Italy and Spain, while expeditions with DofE and CCF number the exotic Botswana and Ecuador.

With all of this and much more on offer, pupils at St Edward’s grow in independence and social awareness and develop a profound understanding of their role as life-long contributors to society. Happy and resilient, they leave school with a strong moral code and a spiritual maturity necessary for proactive and productive behaviour in the years ahead.
