The interview is conducted by one of the Deputy Heads or the Head of the School. Following this, your child will take part in individual age-appropriate assessments, before joining their own year group for the rest of the day.
The formal entrance exam for Year 7 entry takes place in January of the year of entry. If you would like to register your child, please contact the Admissions Team.
Bridgewater School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
At 11+, the school awards Academic, Performing Arts and Sports scholarships. Academic scholarships are offered to applicants who have demonstrated excellence in the entrance examinations.
Scholarship awards may carry up to a 25% discount on the full cost of school fees.
The school’s own bursary support scheme enables many pupils from low-income families to benefit from a Bridgewater education. One of the factors upon which the school decides whether or not to award a bursary is your child’s performance in the entrance examinations.
If you wish to be considered for financial assistance, you should indicate that in the initial registration form. A Bursary Application Form will then be sent out, to be completed and returned to the Bursar with supporting documentation, prior to the entrance exam date. For more information, please contact the school.
