Children sit the 10+ exam whilst in Year 5. It is only offered by a handful of schools and usually involves tests in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. The main advantage of the 10 plus exam is that it is generally less competitive than corresponding 11+ entry to the same schools.
You can therefore increase your child’s chances of gaining a place at your chosen school whilst removing the need to go through the potentially gruelling 11plus process: Win-Win!
We’ve listed a few schools that have a 10+ entry route below. Our 10 plus practice exam papers have successfully helped children gain access to all of these schools and many more:
- Colet Court (11+ deferred entry)
- Kingston Grammar School
- King’s College School
- Emanuel School
- Trinity School
- Hampton School
- City of London School
- Whitgift School
- City of London Freemen’s School
- Brighton College
- Old Palace School
- Bishop’s Stortford College
