Woldingham School is an independent school for girls situated outside the village of Woldingham in Surrey. Founded in 1842 as the Convent of the Sacred Heart, the school occupies a magnificent country house, nestling alongside state-of-the-art educational facilities.

Open events take place throughout the year. Open Mornings are by appointment only and are held in May and September (upcoming). Spots can be booked via an online form.

Woldingham School 13 Plus (13+) Deferred Entry Admissions
The admissions process begins with registration. Completion of the Registration Form includes paying a registration fee of £150.
13+ deferred entry offers are subject to your daughter’s satisfactory progress at her current school and assessments. Students who accept a 13+ deferred place will be asked to sit the standard 13+ examinations in the Autumn prior to entry, which enable their setting and consideration for academic scholarship awards.
To accept an offer of a place, you will be expected to pay an acceptance deposit, held by the school until your daughter finishes her education at Woldingham School.
Woldingham School 13 Plus (13+) Scholarships and Bursaries
At 13+, the school offers the following scholarships: All-Rounder, Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport. Scholarships typically carry a reduction between 5-20% of day fees per year.
They are applicable for a student’s entire education at Woldingham, but only if she meets the expected standards of behaviour, attendance, performance and effort.
The school also offers means-tested financial support with the payment of school fees called Entry Bursaries. To apply for a bursary, you should reach out to the Admissions Department and request a bursary form, which will help establish the detailed financial circumstances of your household. The deadline for financial support applications is at the beginning of November. Incomplete forms will not be considered.

The Woldingham School 13+ deferred exam consists of the following papers:
- English writing
- ISEB Common Pretest
The English paper examines writing skills, including spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The ISEB Pretest examines your daughter’s ability in skills such as numeracy, problem solving and vocabulary, with emphasis on how she thinks and how she responds to the curriculum. The test includes modules testing maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
