Introduction

Wetherby School is an independent school for boys in Notting Hill, London. Founded in 1951 as a prep school, it opened its Senior Department in 2015. Wetherby is operated by Alpha Plus Education Group, the second largest private education business in the country. [1]

Dedicated to sustaining an ambitious ethos grounded in all-round excellence, the cohort benefits from a broad and inspiring academic provision. The curriculum covers everything from science, Classics and economics to languages, philosophy and music, challenging students to succeed through persistent effort.

A number of co-curricular clubs are also on offer, developing boys’ skills beyond the classroom environment. Through the Duke of Edinburgh Award initiative, they grow in a competitive spirit and maximise their problem-solving skills, learning about leadership and perseverance in the process.

Due to its fantastic location, the school can provide students with a broad range of opportunities to explore non-academic interests. Accordingly, its enrichment programme includes regular trips to London’s museums, galleries and theatres, as well as far-off destinations such as Kenya. [2]

Through a remarkable offering, Wetherby Senior ensures that boys are well prepared for their future endeavours. Quality teaching and comprehensive pastoral care accelerate their character development, enabling them to approach the next stages of their education with maximised responsibility for both their learning and behaviour.
