Introduction
Dating back to 1423, The Royal Latin School (RLS) is a co-educational grammar school in Buckingham. Over 1260 pupils comprise its vibrant community, thriving in line with the motto: ‘High expectations for all’. [1]

The Royal Latin School 12 Plus (12+) Admissions
The admissions process for 12+ entry to The Royal Latin School includes the following steps:

The Royal Latin School 12+ entrance examination consists of the following tests:
- Mathematics (GL)
- Verbal Reasoning (GL)
- Non-Verbal Reasoning (GL)
The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper will include multiple-choice questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The multiple-choice Verbal Reasoning paper is designed to test and assess logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The multiple-choice Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures the ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
