Introduction
Royal High School Bath is an independent day and boarding school for girls in the city of Bath, Somerset. Regularly placed near the top of league tables for GCSE and A-Level results in Bath, it is the only GDST school to provide boarding accommodation. [1]

Royal High Prep School (Bath) 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
The registration form can be accessed on this page and should be submitted together with a fee of £100. Upon registering, the school will get in touch to schedule a Taster Day for your daughter. On this day, she will enjoy a hot lunch and be formally assessed in two areas of the curriculum. School reports will be requested.
If a place is offered, you will be asked to secure it with a payment of a deposit: £500 for day pupils or £750 for UK boarding pupils. The deposit will be refunded in your daughter’s last term at the school.

The Royal High Prep School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including her knowledge of times tables.
If felt necessary, the school may also administer a Reasoning test.
The Verbal Reasoning section of the Reasoning test is designed to assess your daughter’s logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning section of the Reasoning test measures her ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
