Introduction
Chesham Prep is an independent, co-ed day school set in the Bucks countryside. Founded in 1938, the school has a well-deserved reputation for being a friendly and family-orientated school. [1]
Pupils in the Junior School benefit from top-quality teaching for English, mathematics, science, humanities, MFL, ICT, music, art, DT, PSHCE and religious education. Furthermore, they are strongly encouraged to participate in a wide selection of extras, including choir, craft, drama, gardening, sports clubs and individual lessons for instruments.
During their most recent inspection of the school, the ISI found that pupils’ attitude to learning is exemplary and that they perform well above the age group expectations and standards. Similarly, the school outperforms its competition, providing ‘excellent’ teaching within a stimulating yet caring environment where success is a norm. As a result, leavers regularly access the next stages of their education at some of the country’s most prestigious Senior Schools, such as Haberdasher Aske’s, Abbot’s Hill, Dr Challoner’s High School and The Royal Grammar School. Chesham Prep School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
Year 3 entry is subject to quality school reports and successful performance in the 7+ assessments and interview. The registration form can be accessed through this page and the fee of £100 is non-refundable.
Offers are sent out in writing and you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your child’s spot. The deposit will be refunded during your child’s final term at the school.
