Introduction
Ellesmere College is an independent co-educational day and boarding school set in rural northern Shropshire, near the market town of Ellesmere. It was founded in 1884 by Canon Nathaniel Woodard and it belongs to the Woodard Corporation.
Ellesmere College focuses on the full development of the individual whilst providing a broad education that prepares students for a successful adult life. The curriculum consists of the core subjects plus geography, history, IT, music, PE & games, drama, art and design, RS and foreign languages.
The co-curricular programme is viewed as a fundamental part of life at Ellesmere College and thus offers a wide range of activities, clubs, societies, sports, courses, performances and visits.
Every child is given the opportunity to sing, dance, act and compete whilst learning to debate and developing social responsibility.
