Introduction

St George’s Weybridge is an independent, co-ed day school in Surrey. Established in 1869 by a Belgium Catholic order of priests called the Josephites, the school educates around 1600 students, approx. 600 of which are in the Junior School. [1]

The curriculum covers English, maths and science, along with specialist teaching in French, art & DT, PE & Games, ICT and music.

The activities programme allows pupils to learn new skills, such as playing the violin, cello or clarinet, and maximises their physical abilities in the areas of gymnastics, swimming and athletics, amongst others.

St George’s aligns its ethos with Christian values such as compassion, tolerance and mutual respect whilst encouraging applications from students from all Christian denominations.

Its individualised approach towards educating allows each pupil to feel recognised and valued, earning in this way a fair reputation for being both a friendly and academically competitive school which successfully prepares children for a proactive adulthood.
