King Henry VIII School (Hales) Coventry 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
7+ entrance examinations take place in the February of the calendar year of entry, assessing two areas of the curriculum, as well as Reasoning skills. In order for your child to be considered for these, they need to be registered with the school first. The £50 application fee is non-refundable.
King Henry VIII School (Hales) Coventry 7 Plus (7+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are not available to Year 3 applicants, but bursaries are. These means-tested awards are offered following an evaluation of your financial circumstances and your child’s successful 7+ entrance exam performance.
To be considered for a bursary, you should tick the relevant box on the registration form. The value of the award will depend on your financial need and may extend to 100% remission (of fees).

The King Henry VIII School (Hales) Coventry 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:

- Reasoning
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and their oral skills.
