Introduction
Shrewsbury House School (SHS) is an academically selective boys’ school in the suburban area of Surbiton, Surrey. It was founded in 1865, which makes it one of the oldest preparatory schools in the UK, and occupies a beautiful 4.5-acre campus with a rich range of spacious facilities. [1]

Shrewsbury House School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
You are advised to apply to the school by the deadline in October of the year preceding entry. The registration form can be accessed through the school’s website and should be submitted with a payment of a £150 non-refundable fee.
Once registered, parents will be contacted by the school to confirm that their son will attend the November assessments.
Please note that reports from your child’s current school, including a reference from the Head, will be obtained. SHS publishes results in late November and the deadline to accept a place is in December.
Shrewsbury House School 7 Plus (7+) Scholarships and Bursaries
The school welcomes bursary applications from parents who require financial assistance for their son to join in Year 3 (age 7+). Bursaries are means-tested awards that may cover up to 100% of fees, depending on your level of need and financial circumstances.
