Introduction
Basic information: Lancing College is an independent day and boarding school in West Sussex. Established in 1848, it features a long list of notable alumni and a successful Prep Division called Lancing Prep Hove. [1]

Lancing Prep Hove 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
8+ is not Hove’s standard point of entry, hence you are advised to reach out to the Admissions Team to discuss availability. If there are places in Year 4, your child will be invited to the school to be formally assessed. Please note that they have to be registered first and the registration fee is £95.
Successful performance could lead to an offer of a place, which is to be secured with a payment of a £600 deposit, refunded when your child leaves the school.

The Lancing Prep Hove 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessments:

The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including inference, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
