Introduction
Our Lady of Sion School is an independent co-educational school located in Worthing, West Sussex. Established in 1862, the school is part of a worldwide network of schools founded by the Sisters of Sion.
Pupils study the core options: English, mathematics and the three sciences, along with MFL, physical education, geography, history, religious studies, design technology, information technology, food & nutrition, art, drama, music and PSHEE.

Our Lady of Sion School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
To register your child with the school, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable fee of £50. Offers are made subject to your child’s performance in the entrance test and interview with the Head, as well as satisfactory references from their current school.
To accept the offer, you will be asked to pay a £250 deposit, which will secure your child’s place at the school. This payment will be refunded to you at the end of your child’s career at Our Lady of Sion School.
Our Lady of Sion School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Academic Scholarships are awarded upon outstanding performance in the entrance exam and an additional interview. The school also awards Music, Art, Drama and Sports Scholarships. All awards cover a percentage of the fees and are reviewed annually.
The school also offers means-tested awards. To be considered for one, you should indicate your interest on the registration form first. Both parents will be asked to provide proof of income and assets. Other factors will also be considered, including:
- Family circumstances;
- Costs associated with other dependants (e.g. sick or disabled parents or children);
- Substantial realisable equity and ownership of other properties or assets;
- In cases of separation, the contribution of the non-resident parent;
- Contributions to fees or household costs by other family members.
