Woodbridge School is an independent school in Suffolk. Founded in 1577 for the poor boys of Woodbridge, the school became co-educational in 1974.

Woodbridge School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
Woodbridge School is an academically selective school. Selection is based on academic merit, assessed via entrance examinations. Those entering at Year 7 will also have a taster session and an interview with the Head. As part of the admissions process, a current-school confidential reference will be requested.
Woodbridge School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
The Seckford Foundation offers Awards coupled with means-tested Bursaries (of up to 100% on rare occasions) to children who have demonstrated exceptional abilities and talents, but come from families who might not otherwise be able to afford the fees.
Academic awards are available to pupils entering the Senior School at 11 and don’t require a separate application. They are based on performance in the entrance tests, and don’t include separate papers.
All-round Awards are offered to those who have demonstrated an overall talent, but have not reached the standard of an Award in any specific area. These Awards are based on separate assessments in two or more areas, eg. music and sport, or drama and art.

The school offers means-tested Bursaries annually. Bursary application forms will be sent to you if you indicate on the application form that you require financial support. The Woodbridge School 11+ exam consists of the following papers:
- Verbal Reasoning
The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper may include questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The Verbal Reasoning paper is primarily designed to test and assess their logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
