Table of Contents
In the Junior School, the curriculum maximises girls’ skills in the areas of literacy, numeracy, humanities, MFL, science and technology.
Promoting agile thinking and problem-solving, the school centres its educational philosophy on forward-looking teaching methods. In line with this, its campus was recently expanded with STEAM Tower, comprising state-of-art innovation & collaboration hubs and science labs.
Numerous sporting activities are on offer, securing pupils’ physical and overall well-being through engagement in pursuits such as gymnastics, swimming, athletics, tennis and cricket.
Co-curricular clubs are designed to be as inclusive as possible, and so is the wrap-around care. An example of this is the Apple Pips programme, run by experienced Early Years practitioners, through which the school aims to assist parents who require greater flexibility in pick up times at the end of the school day.
Noted as a dynamic and academically adventurous school, Wimbledon High encourages a can-do attitude by educating girls on how to adapt to changes in the ‘world of flux’. Upon discovering who they are beyond the classroom, girls approach learning with greater focus and determination, and leave school with a set of internal values and beliefs necessary for prosperous lives.
