Introduction

Warminster School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school in Wiltshire. It was formed in 1973 after the amalgamation of Lord Weymouth’s Grammar School and St Monica’s.

In Year 7, pupils study: art, computer science, design & technology, drama & theatre studies, English, geography, history, mathematics, MFL, music, physical education, religious studies, science and learning support.

The co-curricular programme, with emphasis on sporting and performing arts clubs, as well as opportunities such as the Combined Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, Ten Tors and LAMDA, is considered a vital part of school life.

At Warminster, pupils are strongly encouraged to try new things and step outside of their comfort zone in order to develop self-confidence and high self-esteem. The supportive and nurturing environment, where every pupil is taken care of and recognised as an individual, allows them to adopt values of integrity, service, compassion and kindness, and thus prepare themselves for the complexities that adult life has to offer.
