Introduction

Streatham & Clapham High School is an independent day school for girls located in south London. Founded in 1887 by the Girls’ Public Day School Company, the school was recently rated as ‘Excellent’ by ISI in regards to the quality of pupils’ achievements and their personal development. [1]

Noted for its liberal and challenging academic curriculum, SCHS encourages pursuit of excellence amongst girls, whether they have an interest in sports, the humanities or the sciences.

Its very own enrichment programme named Kinza (an Arabic term meaning ‘hidden treasure’), provides girls with the opportunity to explore those interests without any examination pressure and hence develop new skills and discover new passions.

The Kinza programme offers a wide range of activities, including CCF, Eco Activism, Media Studies, Yoga, Engineering and Anthropology for the 21st Century

Via its inspiring and intellectually stimulating in-class and after-class education, Streatham & Clapham provides a vibrant setting where girls can thrive whilst enjoying individual attention within a socially rich and culturally diverse community.

Why do some recommendations above show me Grammar school papers?

The main difference between independent and grammar school papers is the question format. Independent schools usually assess with standard format questions, which means students need to write out full answers. Grammar schools usually use multiple-choice format questions.

Whilst Streatham & Clapham High School is an independent school, they actually use the grammar school (multiple-choice) format for their exams, which is why they are included in the recommendations above.

Our practice tests aim to show what sort of questions were included in Streatham & Clapham High School 11+ past papers. The information provided about Streatham & Clapham High School was believed to be correct at the time of publishing. However, please be aware of future changes. We advise you to contact the school directly if you are unsure of anything. School contact details are provided within the post.
