Introduction

 

St Nicholas’ School is an independent day school for girls in Church Crookham, a village in Hampshire. Founded in 1935, the school moved to its present site in 1996, occupying a site of over 30 acres. [1]

 

The curriculum covers English, maths, science, computer science, MFL, geography, RS, classics & Latin, Mandarin, textiles, art, drama and PSHE.

Open Events for St Nicholas’ School 11 Plus (11+) Entry

 

If you wish to familiarise yourself with the school’s ethos, you should attend Open Mornings, taking place each term. The events include tours of the campus and a one-on-one with the Headmistress.

 

Working Open Mornings are slightly more personalised events that run twice a term. During these, you will be invited to join the Headmistress in her office for coffee and pastries. The events also include tours of the school, led by a current pupil or a member of the staff.

 

Open Evenings take place in the Summer Term on a weekday evening, including a number of activities and showcases, as well as a pupil-led tour of the school.

St Nicholas’ School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

  

If you wish your daughter to be considered for Year 7 entry, you should complete a registration form and pay a registration fee of £100.

 

Based on her performance in the entrance examinations, she may be offered a place, which is to be secured with a payment of a refundable deposit of £500.

 

The deadline for registrations is in late November of the year preceding entry.

 

St Nicholas’ School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries

 

The school offers Academic, Music, Sport, Art and Drama scholarships for Year 7 applicants. These are worth up to 20% of the school fees.

 

Academic Scholarships are awarded to top-performing candidates in the entrance examinations. The evaluation process includes a formal interview with the Senior Management team.
