Introduction
Located in Northwood, North West London, St Helen’s School was founded in 1899 as an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 18. The school is split across an expansive 22-acre greenfield site and the Senior, Junior and Little Saints schools occupy separate buildings within the site with their own specialised facilities. [1]
Centred on academic excellence, St Helen’s junior department provides a stimulating education that maximises pupils’ creative and intellectual potential. The syllabus prioritises individual needs, encouraging girls to explore various learning methods and make choices that foster independence in their studies.
The rigorous pursuit of knowledge inside the classroom is combined with enthusiastic participation in extracurricular activities. Pastorally, the school endeavours to provide a safe and supportive environment where every pupil is known, assisting in this way their character development and empowering them to pursue their ambitions with grit.
