Introduction
St Catherine’s School is an independent girls’ school in the village of Bramley, near Guildford, Surrey. Founded in 1885, the school performs well above the national average. [1] [2]

The Prep School shares outstanding facilities with the Senior School, including a swimming pool, a 350 seat Auditorium and a number of playing fields. St Catherine’s School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
The registration deadline is in November of the year preceding entry. A non-refundable fee of £100 is included.
All registered girls will be invited to the school to attend Assessment Day, taking place in January. If she performs well, your daughter will receive an offer, typically sent out by the end of the month. Please note that the quality of the confidential report from her current school will also be taken into consideration.
To secure your daughter’s place at the school, you will be asked to pay an acceptance deposit of £500, refunded during her last term.
St Catherine’s School 7 Plus (7+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are only available to Senior School applicants. However, the school does offer mean-tested bursaries to 7+ applicants. As part of the evaluation process, your daughter’s academic ability will be taken into consideration.
The awards can cover up to 100% of the fees. Essential extras such as uniform, iPad, trips and music tuition may also be included. The amount of bursarial support will be determined by a method of means-testing. Please note that bursaries are reviewed annually and may vary in value, depending on your financial circumstances.

The St Catherine’s School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
- Verbal Reasoning
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and her oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including her knowledge of times tables.
The Verbal Reasoning exam is designed to test and assess her logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
